Six Decades of Hartford Personal Injury Law Experience
With many years of experience in personal injury litigation, we have been able to build a solid base of experience, resources and success in a complex field of law. During the 1940s, Leon RisCassi established a busy law practice in Hartford, combined with his active involvement in Connecticut politics, where he was Senate minority and majority leader. William R. Davis joined Mr. RisCassi in 1955, and the two quickly built a strong practice, handling personal injury claims. Bill Davis still remains active in our practice and in the legal community.
Attorneys Jim Bartolini, Andy Groher, and Michael Jainchill all joined the Hartford personal injury law practice in the late 1970s, followed shortly thereafter by John Houlihan, Kathy Calibey and Dave Cooney. Today, we have 10 attorneys and an extensive support staff, filling our downtown Hartford, CT office at 131 Oak Street, which was built specially for our firm, when the State of Connecticut built a courthouse on the site of our first office.
Founded in 1955, RisCassi and Davis, P.C. is a Connecticut personal injury law firm that has helped accident victims injured by the carelessness of others for nearly 55 years. We are proud that four of our Hartford personal injury attorneys are listed in the publication, Best Lawyers in America®, 2007, © 2006, by Woodward/White, Aiken, SC in the field of Personal Injury Litigation. Nine attorneys have been selected for inclusion in New England Super Lawyers 2008 in the category of "personal injury plaintiff: general." The National Board of Trial Advocacy has certified seven of our attorneys as Civil Trial Advocates.
The resources of RisCassi and Davis, P.C., are directed at serving the individual client and achieving a just resolution under the law. Our attorneys may collaborate on complex personal injury cases in Connecticut and other states. We also meet weekly to discuss strategies in our cases and to evaluate new cases and potential expert witnesses. Depending upon the nature of the case, we may review technical literature, confer with attorneys throughout the United States handling similar claims, or consult experts in particular industries or fields of medicine.
We have developed a national network of consulting experts in medical fields including obstetrics, emergency medicine, surgery, urology, oncology, radiology, neurosurgery, opthamology, orthopedics, internal medicine, cardiology and family medicine. Our Hartford personal injury lawyers have relationships with experts in non-medical fields including product design, fall protection, and mechanical, civil and electrical engineering.
