Kathryn Calibey successfully argued two recent Connecticut Supreme Court appeals. Levandoski v. Cone, 267 Conn. 667 (2004), involved the right of a police officer to sue a negligent non-landowner. The Supreme Court upheld Officer Levandoski's jury award and rejected an attempt to limit the right of police officers and firefighters to recover for their injuries. Allstate Ins. Co. v. Barron, 269 Conn. 394 (2004), involved insurance coverage issues. Attorney Calibey also served as a faculty member and speaker at the first Connecticut Bar Association Appellate Advocacy Institute held in April, 2004.
