Mr. Swain resides in New London County and draws the majority of his clients from southeastern Connecticut.  He offers free local initial consultations, without obligation.  For most purposes, he is able to meet with clients from southeastern Connecticut near their homes.

Eugene K. Swain was admitted to the Connecticut State and Federal District Court bars in 1983. He was admitted to the Rhode Island State and Federal bars in 1987. He was graduated from the University of Maryland (B.A., 1975), and he received his law degree from the University of Georgia in 1977. He practiced law in Georgia from 1977 through 1982.

Mr. Swain is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (Advocate) and is certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocates.

He was President of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association for the 1999-2000 term, and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He was President of the New London County Bar Association 1995-1996.

Mr. Swain has lectured nationally to the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and has lectured extensively at seminars for the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.
