Jim Calhoun is again teaming up with RisCassi and Davis, Stop & Shop, and Hartford Food Systems to raise dollars and deliver meals to needy Connecticut families. This year, holiday meals will be delivered on December 10th to over 1,000 families at the Pope Park Recreation Center and the North-end Senior Center in Hartford. RisCassi and Davis is also helping families in the parish of the Church of the Good Sheppard in Hartford by collecting winter coats, hats and gloves that the church will distribute to those in need.
Since 1999, the Jim Calhoun Holiday Food Drive has raised over $980,000 for needy families in Connecticut or over 1.9 million meals.
