$3,000,000 Settlement – Medical Malpractice – Loss of visual field in a 36-year old woman
Attorney Michael Jainchill recently settled a medical negligence case for a Plainville, CT woman, arising out of the failure to properly diagnose and provide timely and appropriate treatment for an ophthalmologic condition know as pseudo tumor cerebri. This failure lead to a severe loss of visual field and resulted in the patient being legally blind. If properly diagnosed and treated the condition is most often curable and the loss of visual field reversible. Left untreated, the condition leads to damage of the optic nerves and loss of visual fields bilaterally.
