John F. Buckley, III
About
Attorney John F. Buckley, III earned his Juris Doctor degree, with Honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law. During his legal studies, he earned Certificates for concentration in both Insurance Law & Regulation and Health Law, areas critical to contemporary civil litigation. He received the CALI Award for Excellence in both Bankruptcy Law and Law and Economics. John was a member of the Mock Trial Society, and competed interscholastically at a Mock Trial competition at Harvard Law School. He also served as an Executive Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
John completed his undergraduate studies at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics and a minor in Mathematics.
John began working at RisCassi & Davis, P.C. in the summer of 2023, following his first year in law school. He continued to work as a law clerk throughout the remainder of his legal education and was officially hired by the firm as an attorney upon his admission to the Connecticut bar in November 2025.
A lifelong Connecticut resident, John is committed to providing legal assistance to individuals and families navigating difficult periods in their lives. Outside of the law, John enjoys running, golfing, and following UConn athletics.
