Jim Calhoun, his family, and team working with the law firm of RisCassi and Davis, Hartford Food Systems, and Omar Coffee, today delivered 1,000-holiday meals to needy families in Hartford. Since 1999, the Jim Calhoun Holiday Food Drive has raised over $1 million for needy families in Connecticut or over 1.9 million meals.
All proceeds raised during the drive benefit FoodShare, Connecticut Food Bank, and local food banks.
“This year has once again been especially tough for many in Connecticut. I want to thank all the generous folks at RisCassi and Davis, Hartford Food Systems and Omar Coffee for helping the Calhoun family make the holidays a little better for those less fortunate,” said Coach Calhoun.
The Coach was joined by his coaches, team, and volunteers from RisCassi and Davis at Pope Park Recreation Center, 30 Pope Park Drive in Hartford where families picked up their holiday meals.
