Hartford, CT – Jim Calhoun, his family, and team, working with Price Chopper Supermarkets, the law firm of RisCassi and Davis, Hartford Food Systems, and Omar Coffee, today delivered 1,000-holiday meals to needy families in Hartford. Since 1999, the Jim Calhoun Holiday Food Drive has helped tens of thousands of Connecticut families.
“This year has been tough for many families in Connecticut. I want to thank all the generous folks at Price Chopper Supermarkets, RisCassi and Davis, Hartford Food Systems, and Omar Coffee for helping the Calhoun family make the holidays a little better for those less fortunate,” said Coach Calhoun. The Coach was joined by his family, coaches, team, volunteers from Price Chopper, RisCassi and Davis, and Hartford Food Systems at the Northend Senior Center and at Pope Park Recreation Center, where families picked up their holiday meals.
